Mining Any Trading Influencer's Video Into Testable Concepts: The Right Way to Consume Trading Content

Instead of agonizing over whether an influencer is legit, treat every piece of content as a concept mine. This article gives you a workflow for extracting testable concepts from trade calls and chart breakdowns: listen for the observation not the conclusion, translate it into a falsifiable rule, name and queue it, then put it on trial in a backtest. Even if a video is 90% noise, squeezing out just 1 concept that can be defined and backtested means you came out ahead.
Mining trading content into testable concepts: extracting concept ore from layers of information and feeding it into a backtest courtroom

💡 In one sentence

Stop agonizing over "is this influencer legit." Treat every piece of content as a mine of potentially testable concepts. That way you are forever in an unbeatable position: by the time any content reaches you, it can no longer disguise itself as a holy grail.

This is the mindset upgrade to "Seeing Through Hindsight Line-Drawing". Once you can spot the performance, write falsifiable rules, and read a backtest, the final step is to change how you consume content.

1. Why "find a legit influencer" is the wrong question

Many people spend huge amounts of time judging "is this KOL any good," but the question itself points in the wrong direction:

  • even the best influencer calls it wrong sometimes — and copy-traders are often all-in on exactly that wrong call;
  • the influencer's profit logic (selling courses, driving volume, funneling traffic) is frequently misaligned with yours (account growth);
  • you're forever passively waiting for "signals," with the initiative entirely out of your hands.

Depending on a "legit influencer" is essentially "hunting the holy grail" with a new target. The real solution isn't finding the right person — it's upgrading the system you use to process information.

2. The concept-mine mindset: all content is raw ore

Switch frames: you're not looking for answers, you're mining.

  • A video that's 90% noise, trade calls, and Monday-morning quarterbacking? Doesn't matter.
  • As long as you can squeeze out 1 concept that can be defined and backtested, that video paid off for you.
  • Whether it's right, whether the influencer is any good — isn't theirs to decide; your backtesting system delivers the final verdict.

That's what "an unbeatable position" means: content can no longer lead you by the nose — it just keeps feeding you raw ore, which your courtroom convicts or accepts.

3. The extraction workflow: from one line to the testing queue

How do you actually "mine"? Four steps.

1. Listen for the observation, not the conclusion. The influencer says "the whales are about to pump" — a conclusion, discard it. If they mention "a volume spike near the POC that fails to hold means it keeps falling" — that's an observation + a causal hypothesis, keep it.
2. Translate it into a falsifiable rule. Fit it into the 5 parts: entry, stop, exit, sizing, filter. Example: "price returns to the rolling 30-day POC and the 4H fails to close back above it → short, stop 1% above the POC."
3. Name it + queue it. Give the concept a stable name (e.g. poc_break_retest), toss it into the testing queue, and don't trade it right away.
4. Put it on trial in a backtest. Use that set of metrics (PF, win rate, max drawdown, sample size) to see if it holds up. Holds up → into the strategy library; doesn't → still a gain, you've ruled out a false concept.

Throughout the process, the influencer is demoted from "teacher" to "mine" — which is exactly the relationship you want.

4. What kind of content is richer ore

Not all content has the same ore content. Per the filter from the hub article, prioritize mining these types of content:

  • Focused on market microstructure / data behavior: order-book imbalance, volatility around options expiry, follow-through stats after extreme funding rates — these give you "building blocks," the highest ore content.
  • Comes with a backtest or a public record: a concept the influencer has already validated gives you a higher starting point for re-testing.
  • Explicitly says "here's how you can verify it": the most honest content hands you the data sources and methods, rather than telling you to copy-trade or buy a course.

Conversely, content that just calls direction, sets no invalidation condition, and only flexes perfect trades has ore content approaching zero — swipe it away fast, no need to agonize. (Further reading: should you trust crypto KOLs' coin analyses)

5. When the "concept mine" becomes a system

Individual mining is powerful, but it has a ceiling: the number of concepts you can test alone, the market regimes you can run, and the time you can keep watching the screen are all limited. This is exactly the value of systematizing and scaling it — and it's what CoinTech2u (the AI dynamic multi-strategy trading system) does:

The strategy pool = a set of validated concepts

Every strategy is a piece of "concept ore" that has survived backtesting and live trading — not just some influencer's one-liner.

Dynamic multi-strategy

It re-weights and switches between validated concepts based on market regime — no single piece of ore is the holy grail; the combination and the discipline are.

Results made public to you

/live-proof reads the official API directly every hour, so you can judge us with this series' standard; the review methodology publishes the scoring rules and Auto-Fail conditions in full.

Non-custodial

Funds always stay in your own exchange account, with minimized API permissions and no withdrawal rights.

You can keep running your own personal mine (highly recommended); and when you want a 24/7, zero-emotion system that has already validated and combined a large number of concepts, it's right here.

Use the checklist as your filter, the backtest as your courtroom

Once you've built this system, any video, any trade call, any "godlike prediction" is just a mine by the time it reaches you — and you are always the one who delivers the final verdict.
